Kayaking and rafting on the course used for the 2000 olympics.
Take the M4 motorway west from the city towards Penrith. Take the Mulgoa Road exit (about 41km from the city), and turn right onto Mulgoa Road. Continue on to Castlereagh Rd, and turn left onto McCarthys Lane. The venue is well signposted.
A whitewater course is available only an hour from Sydney. The Penrith Whitewater Stadium was the competition venue for the whitewater canoe/kayak slalom events in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. It is the only man-made whitewater course of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, and offers 320m of grade 3 water.
The venue offers whitewater rafting (guided and self guided), and kayaking, as well as instruction.
