This is a relaxing paddle along one of the cleanest rivers in NSW.
Start/Finish points
Park the car in the car park located underneath Colo Bridge. Kayaks can be launched next to the bridge. Go right to head down river and left to head up the river.
Getting There
From Sydney take the M4 and exit onto James Ruse Drive (turning right). Follow it all the way until reaching Windsor and continue over Windsor Bridge (Hawkesbury River) following Wilberforce Road/Putty Rd all the way until you reach Colo Bridge. Turn left just before the bridge and park in the carpark underneath.
Route
This is a relaxing paddle along one of the cleanest rivers in NSW. You have the choice of paddling up or down river. Going down takes you along the tidal section of the Colo and eventually flows into the Hawkesbury River. Going up river is best done on a high tide to maximise the distance you can travel as the river eventually becomes too shallow to continue.
