A whitewater course is available only an hour from Sydney. The Penrith Whitewater Stadium was the competition venue for the whitewater canoe/kayak slalom events in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. It is the only man-made whitewater course of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, and offers 320m of grade 3 water.
The venue offers whitewater rafting (guided and self guided), and kayaking, as well as instruction.
